What Are Comtac & PremTac?
Comtac and PremTac are tactile safety products designed to provide a textured, high-visibility surface for visually impaired pedestrians and to improve slip resistance in high-risk zones. These tactile pads (also called TGSI; truncated dome tactile ground surface indicators) are made from strong fibreglass-reinforced polymer composites, built to endure heavy foot traffic, weather conditions, and UV exposure.
PremTac, for example, offers a warranty (up to 10 years, conditional) and is UV stabilized to resist fading or degradation.
They are commonly used in compliance with access and safety standards for public spaces.
