SlipSafe Featured on TVNZ’s Seven Sharp: Learn To Fall

We’re excited to share that SlipSafe was recently featured on TVNZ’s Seven Sharp in a segment titled “Learn to fall“, shining a national spotlight on the urgent issue of fall prevention. In the episode, journalist Mary-Jane Aggett explores the alarming fact that falls are the leading cause of injury for New Zealander’s aged 65 and over. But the risk isn’t limited to older adults, falls can happen to anyone, anywhere, and often when least expected.

SlipSafe’s founder and CEO, Jason Goldfinch, joined the conversation by sharing a deeply personal story. A couple of years ago, Jason’s 5-year-old daughter slipped on their wet, outdoor concrete pavers and suffered a nasty injury to her tailbone. That moment sparked a mission: to find a solution that could help prevent slips before they happen.

Enter SlipSafe, our company dedicated to making New Zealand homes and businesses safer through specialist anti-slip coatings and treatments. These innovative applications can reduce the risk of slipping by up to 90%, even in wet environments like bathrooms, showers, pool surrounds, and outdoor walkways.

As the Seven Sharp feature highlights; fall prevention isn’t just about protecting the vulnerable, it’s about taking proactive steps to ensure safety for everyone. Whether you’re a safety professional, a facility manager, or just someone looking to make your home a little safer, SlipSafe has a smart and effective solution.
